The truth is I’ve always loved traveling and experiencing new cultures. What an amazing way of broadening one’s horizons! I chose to do just that 20 years ago when I moved to the beautiful Cape Town from Port Elizabeth. I worked for corporate agencies until starting my own consultancy. That’s what happens when you have kids. Your values change and you realize memories and experiences are so important. I did the 1 year shift in London where the travel bug bit harder and I knew I needed to go back to various places, this beginning the adventure of my personal travel bucket list.

As I head towards my 40th birthday I am proud to say I’ve fulfilled a few. I have done the Cape Town to Vic falls overland tour, I have gone from San Francisco to Las Vegas via Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon in a van. I saw the Taj Mahal on my honeymoon.

My husband and I will be travelling to Xian in China (via Beijing and on to Shanghai) to go and see the Terracotta Army which is something I can’t wait to photograph. I know this will not be the end of our travels – that’s for certain.

Tella Travel – Making my passion a career…

I love sending people on their bucket list dream holidays to any far flung destination – even if that means just getting on an plane for the first time and going to Jo’burg. The memories relating to travel are some of the strongest we hold on to – The airport, the anxiety, the excitement, the joy and the entire experience is just thrilling!
